WHERE ARE YOU FROM? WHY PORTLAND?
I am originally from Salem, OR. I fell in love with Portland back in 2015 when I was going to school here. After I graduated I was offered a Training job here and decided to officially relocate.
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO THE MEFIT FAM?
One of my old colleagues was overseeing the opening of The Playground and the launch of the Small Group program and he really wanted me to teach Training Day. I was very reluctant but he was very persistent for 2 months until I finally agreed. Not only did I fall in love with the classes, but I work with some incredible humans and I am so glad that I decided to be a part of this culture.
WHAT MAKES YOUR JOB SO AWESOME?
IS THERE A SPECIFIC NOUN THAT GOT YOU INTO FITNESS? GUSH ABOUT IT PLEASE!
Myself, although I am not good at gushing about myself. Fitness was the first thing that felt like it was truly for me. Learning how to be a strength coach for myself as well as others keeps me empowered, passionate and sane. Strength training got me through breakups, moves, great losses, and taught me who I really am with no apologies.
WHEN YOU'RE NOT FITNESSING, WHAT ARE YOU UP TO?
Spending as much time with my dogs as possible. Traveling (someday again!). Photography. Reading. Gaming.
