CLASS INSTRUCTOR / PERSONAL TRAINER

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I grew up in Los Angeles but moved to Northern California in 2005.  When I moved to Portland in 2021,  I was drawn to the beauty that Oregon has to offer.  The variety of adventures that you can take via hiking, kayaking the river, exploring the coastal beaches, and taking it slower with the cozy rainy days warms my heart and soul so much.

WHAT MAKES YOUR CLASS SO AWESOME?

Taking the time to care for our joints, muscles, ligaments, and bones is so important in our day to day training and everyday life. I love to educate my students by providing bite sized pieces of information on what is going on in our bodies as we move and how we can utilize mobility exercises to help with range of motion to set us up for success during our workouts, while doing daily activities, and long term mobilization.  I love when I can help people move better, feel less aches and pains, and have fun throughout the process.

WHAT IS YOUR TEACHING STYLE?

I teach from a heart centered space with a focus on creating an environment of inclusivity, safety, support, and fun.

WHAT'S THAT EXTRA SPECIAL SAUCE YOU POUR ON ALL OF YOUR CLASSES!?I put just as much thought and love into programming out my class as I do in putting together the playlist.  Music is very important to me and I always try to put together a variety of songs that will keep everyone motivated and feeling good.

IS THERE A SPECIFIC MOMENT THAT GOT YOU INTO FITNESS? GUSH ABOUT IT PLEASE!

I remember kicking off my fitness journey in my early 20’s with a bootcamp class and LOVED how I was able to gain so much strength, challenge myself in ways that I have never been able to do before, and feel this sense of empowerment from within.  It is such a gift to witness this in others, as well.

WHEN YOU'RE NOT FITNESSING, WHAT ARE YOU UP TO?

Learning as much as I can about the body and how that pertains to movement, spending time with loved ones, moving my body in a way that is fun and challenging, hiking/going on long walks, blasting music and dancing around my living room, and drinking too much coffee.

WHAT QUOTE IS MOST LIKELY TO COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH DURING A CLASS?

“What are you feeling in your body and what do you need to honor that through modifying, regressing, or progressing the current movement?”
